Elijah's cave near the heart of the city. He took refuge here during his duals with the Priests of Ba'al. In Hebrew they say "Ba'al agriculture" to describe agriculture that depends on rain and not artificial irrigation: a saying directly from Elijah's days... Small park commemorating Kaiser Wilhelm's defeat of the Turks in 1898. On this site, James E. Talmage dedicated the holy land for the preaching of the Gospel. Grave sites of Elders John A Clark of Farmington, Utah and Adolf Haag of Payson, Utah who passed away in 1892 and 1895 respectively, while serving as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The church used the location and information from their grave sites to establish the presence of the church in Israel before the establishment of the Israeli government in 1948.
