The Restoration in Images

Palmyra, New York was the site of the first major events of the restoration.  The first vision occurred in what is now known as the sacred grove, not far from the Smith log home.  Joseph smith received visits from the Angel Moroni in the upstairs bedroom of the log home.  The frame home, built later by the Smiths, is just to the south of the log home.

The Hill Cumorah is the site where Joseph Smith received the gold plates from which the Book of Mormon was translated.  The book was later published by Grandin Publishing in Palmyra
